CO2 Recovery
Where a particular site is both a producer and consumer of carbon dioxide then CO2 recovery solutions are a great way to reduce carbon emissions and save money. The brewing industry is one example of where CO2 recovery can really work. With CO2 evolved in fermentation and consumed in the bottling process, brewing is an ideal candidate.
CO2 used in bottling needs to be very low in oxygen concentration to ensure that no fermentation occurs once the product leaves the brewery. The process itself involves collecting the fermentation gases which are first scrubbed to remove any soluble organics before being passed through a carbon bed to remove the insoluble organics.
