energyexcel is very experienced in supporting organisations in energy and climate change compliance matters. Our team advises on such matters as Climate Change Agreements (CCA), the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, Quality Assurance for CHP (CHPQA), the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, and IPPC. In addition, we provide advice on the incentives for renewable energy generation,for example Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROC), Feed-In Tariffs (FIT), and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
For Climate Change Agreements, energyexcel has worked with clients to negotiate baselines; prepare milestone data; and secure the correct level of Climate Change Levy (CCL) discount through the submission of PP11 certificates to energy suppliers and HMRC. We are now working on the new Climate Change Agreements that will be introduced in 2012. |

As far as EU ETS is concerned, energyexcel helps with permit applications (ETS1); monitoring plans (ETS2); the reporting of annual emissions reporting (ETS7); improvements in monitoring (ETS5 and ETS6); and permit variations (ETS9). We also prepare applications for allowances from the New Entrant Reserve (NER); recommend EUA trading strategies; and advise on EU ETS Phase III (2013 to 2020).
Our work on the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme ranges from registration; making information disclosures; maintaining records / evidence packs; preparing footprint reports; through to advising clients on measures to improve their position in the annual performance league table.
