Food and Drink
The Food and Drink Industry has been working hard to reduce CO2 emissions. Members of the Food and Drink Federation are on track to achieve 20% reductions by 2010 based on 1990 levels as part of their Five-fold Environmental Ambition – visit www.fdf.org.uk/environment/carbon.aspx
The challenge is now on to achieve 30% by 2020.
Cost savings, regulations and increasing stakeholder pressure from shareholders and customers are all key drivers to reduce emissions further.
The main source of Greennouse Gas emissions from food and drink manufacturing comes from energy consumption. energyexcel is an energy services company specialising in identifying and implementing energy saving projects for our clients. |
